Global fast food chain Burger King’s newest restaurant in the Baltics has been opened yesterday in the popular Damme shopping mall in the Imanta district of Riga. This is the 17th restaurant of the famous fast food brand opened in the Baltics over the course of the last two years and the 5th restaurant in Latvia.
The new restaurant with 44 seats and spanning 280 square metres will offer visitors of the shopping mall and the visitors and residents of the popular Imanta district and wider Riga even more options to enjoy the extensive and globally loved menu with tasty flame-grilled burgers and so much more in the Latvian capital.
„We are delighted to open yet another top quality fast food restaurant in Riga in a hugely popular location and the second one in Riga with a drive-thru functionality, offering customers who are passing the shopping mall or district in their cars the convenience of ordering a delicious meal straight into their car. Drive-thru restaurants have become even more popular over the recent years with many customers preferring to enjoy our tasty burgers either on the go or picking them up and enjoying the tasty burgers in the comfort of their own homes without using a home delivery service or stepping in a restaurant. We are pleased that we will soon have already 3 such restaurants across the Baltics,” Laura Maarand, Head of Burger King franchise in the Baltics, said.
„We look forward to offering the whole range of our tasty flame-grilled menu, including something for adults, kids, youngsters, meat lovers, vegetarians and anyone else, at the new restaurant and hope that this restaurant, like all the existing Burger King restaurants in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, will also have its own loyal burger fan customer base in no time at all, “ Maarand added.
Tallink Grupp obtained the Burger King franchise in the Baltics in the autumn of 2019 and the first restaurants were opened in spring 2020. To date, 16 Burger King restaurants have been opened across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Burger King currently employs approximately 400 people across its 16 restaurants.
