«Turkish Airlines» increase Vilnius service to Daily

Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd largest carrier in Europe, will increase its flights between Vilnius and Istanbul as from March 2015. Effective from the 29th of March, the schedule will increase from 5 weekly to daily flights. The additional two flights will operate on Thursdays and Fridays using 737-800 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes: Business and Economy.

"Turkish Airlines”, Vilnius General Manager Serkan Binyar, said: “The increase in our flights from Vilnius is a direct response to growth in passenger numbers. Turkish Airlines has had a strong presence in Vilnius since 2013. As well as Turkey, we also serve the most popular destinations in the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, the Far East, Africa and Europe. The increased frequency will provide our passengers convenient departure times and better connections from Vilnius via Istanbul.”

Turkish Airlines, in 2011, 2013, 2013 and 2014 recognized by Skytrax as the Best Airline in Europe, boasts flights to over 264 destinations with a fleet of 263 aircraft configured with state-of-the-art cabin features; including the Comfort Class (Premium Economy) on Transatlantic, Far East and China routes.

Turkish Airlines was also given the Skytrax designation of World’s Best Business Class On-board Catering in 2013 and 2014, World’s Best Economy Class On-board Catering in 2010, and Skyscanner’s Best On-board Food 2011. Long haul Business Class passengers can also enjoy the Flying Chef service on-board.

Serving Vilnius route since June 2013, Turkish Airlines provide connections to some of the best destinations in the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, India, China, Asia and Europe via its main hub airport in Istanbul. With the additional services, Turkish Airlines will be able to offer seamless connections from Vilnius to more than 263 destinations Worldwide.
