airBaltic About Passengers to London during the UK riots

During the last few days, Latvian national airline airBaltic has not seen higher interest from its Estonian passengers to return their tickets to London, or change their travel dates due to the riots in the streets of the United Kingdom cities. Quite on the contrary, airBaltic has recorded a slight increase in the number of tickets sold to London, but this is more likely the result of this week’s sales campaign of cheap tickets.

Typically, during riots or unrest in parts of the world, airBaltic passengers are more actively purchasing travel insurance or travel date/time change warranty on During the street riots in London and other cities in the UK, the demand for insurance products has remained stable on and do not demonstrate sharp increases. However, the period between August 6 and August 10 has seen a 20% increase (compared to the same period a year ago) in Economy Flex tickets on the London route. Economy Flex ticket allows passengers to change their travel date and time flexibly without additional charges.

airBaltic serves over 80 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
