Go Blonde to attract thousands of tourists to Riga

Riga, May 28, 2011, will welcome the third Go Blonde Festival to Krastmala (11. Novembra Krastmala Street).

It will surprise you with the most impressive blonds march in the world, Marilyn Monroe Look-Alike Contest, Blond Divas concert, Latvian designers pink clothing and accessories fashion show and various other exciting activities. There will also be Formula 2 Riga Grand Prix speed boats championship and cabriolets will open their this year's season as well. The festival will round up in a sparkling Pink Party in one of the best Riga night clubs.

Latvian Blondes Association president Marika Gederte tells, "Go Blonde Festival not only celebrates the blonds in Latvia and the rest of the world in a positive way, but it also embodies charity to help children with special needs. Last year, thanks to our supporters and contributors, a playground for children with physical disabilities was created in Kronvalda Park. The playground is of a special surface, so that also children in wheelchairs can participate. This year we hope to attract funds to a rehabilitation center for disabled children in Riga.

We are really glad news on the special charm of Go Blonde attracts more and more participants from abroad, helping our state appear with a positive message "Latvia has found a way to fight the crisis". German National TV channel 1 made a documentary about Latvian Blondes Association. More than 500 Internet portals all around the world reported about the march, so did the most popular lifestyle magazines Glamour in Spain, Mairie Claire ASV and Grazia in Great Britain and Italy. The popular TV channel CNN will report on the upcoming event in late March.
