Tallink`s passenger volumes increased by 15 percent in April

AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 712939 passengers in April, this is 15 percent more than last year. The number of transported vehicles and cargo units increased by 13 and 11 percent respectively.

The passenger volumes increased on all routes the company is operating. In April Tallink transported 58567 (+49%) passengers on Latvia-Sweden route, 71977 (+25%) on Estonia-Sweden route, 324440 (+17%) on Finland-Estonia route and 257772 (+8%) on Finland-Sweden routes. The two ferries of Finland-Germany route returned from repair works on 26th and 30th of April and transported 183 passengers during those days.

The restricted air travel all over Europe due to the volcano Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland in April had some positive effect on passenger numbers of all routes Tallink is operating.

Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles and cargo units increased in the last month. Tallink transported 73345 passenger vehicles (+13 %) and 21626 (+11%) cargo units in April.
