Cars at Vilnius International Airport may be parked for 15 minutes free of charge

Vilnius International Airport (VIA) created a parking place for short parking where passengers and attendant persons will be able to leave their cars for 15 minutes free of charge since this week.
“We have kept our promise for passengers and with regard to their requests, and assignment of the Minister of Transport and Communications, we have made facilities for parking cars of those who arrive at the airport to pick up passengers, in the centre of the airport, the most convenient place for the car parking”, Tomas Vaišvila, General Manager of VIA, says.
For a longer parking, the charge of 4 Litas per hour shall be applied (payment may be done per half an hour). Cars may be parked up to one day.
There are 25 parking places in the central parking ground; 4 employees of VIA work there for collecting charges and supervising over a free of charge parking time. It is intended to make some more parking places and to make them automatic in the future.
This parking place is made instead of preexistent long-term parking place of VIA that was used for clients and partners.
