Tallinn Airport passenger traffic decreased in November

Tallinn Airport handled 125 111 passengers in November which is 11,7% less than in November last year.

Passenger number on scheduled flights decreased by 16,3% mainly due to reduced number of flights while passenger number on charter aircraft grew by 10,6% compared to November previous year. Compared to last month flight frequencies where reduced by almost all scheduled airlines.

During the first 11 months 1’702’410 passengers travelled through Tallinn Airport with the growth rate of 6,3% compared to the same period in 2007. Cargo and mail volumes reached 40’617 tons during the same period which is 93,9% more than last year.

In November 2008 Tallinn Airport had scheduled flights to 19 European cities and 2 Estonian destinations. Passengers could also choose between 18 different holiday destinations, most popular of which were Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt and Tenerife and Las Palmas on Canary Islands (Spain).
