Great Cultural Events Can Be Enjoyed in Estonia in Summer

This summer gives the opportunity to enjoy different cultural events and festivals with well-know Estonian musicians taking to the stage.

Rabarock 2008 will take place in Järvakandi on 13 and 14 June. This year, the festival offers its guest a varied selection of Estonian artists: Silvi Vrait & Ultima Thule, Propeller, Metsatöll Psychoterror, Compromise Blue, HU? and Vaiko Eplik & Eliit. Club music festival Airport Jam will be held in the Kiltsi airfield in Haapsalu on 13 and 14 June and the festival features the best known club DJs of Estonia. The Õllesummer beer festival, which celebrates its 15th jubilee, will be held on the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds from 2 to 6 July. The main acts of the festival are star of new rock Franz Ferdinand from England and Russian rock star Zveri. See http://www.ollesummer.ee/ for further information.

The XII Muhu Future Music Festival, Juu Jääb 2008, will be held on Muhu Island from 3 to 6 July. Performers of different cultural backgrounds represent different music styles from jazz and club music to classical music at the International Future Music Festival. The Viru Folk Festival will be held in Käsmu from 8 to 10 August. Folk music will played on the main stage in the Lainela Holiday Village and the Forest Stage on Cape Vana-Jüri on all three days.
