In honor of the 107th anniversary of the Republic of Latvia, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will participate in the ceremonial parade on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The airline will perform a flyover along the 11th November Embankment with its Airbus A220-300 aircraft, painted in the red-white-red colors of the Latvian flag. The airBaltic aircraft will be visible during the parade, which begins at 13:30 (Riga time), and will be broadcasted on Latvian Television.
This will be the sixth time (previously in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024) that airBaltic has participated in the national holiday ceremonial parade. The aircraft will be flown by experienced and highly qualified Latvian pilots on this honorable occasion.
Reklāma
In 2018, as part of Latvia's centenary celebrations, airBaltic presented Latvia with a unique gift – an Airbus A220-300 aircraft in a special red-and-white Latvian flag color scheme. Additionally, in April 2023, the airline received its 40th Airbus A220-300 aircraft, also decorated in the colors of the Latvian flag. And, in February 2025, airBaltic welcomed its 50th Airbus of the same type. It features an artistic livery inspired by the Latvian flag, complemented by unique design motifs representing all three Baltic States – Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Currently, airBaltic’s fleet includes two aircraft whose liveries are designed as the Latvian flag, and one featuring elements of Latvian national symbolism.
The airline continues to monitor the weather forecast. Weather conditions such as strong winds, fog, and poor visibility may affect the ability to conduct a flyover during the parade. If the weather conditions are not suitable, the flight may be canceled for safety reasons.
Over the past 30 years, airBaltic has evolved into a globally respected carrier. Now the airline is connecting the Baltic States to 80 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region, providing essential infrastructure and global connectivity for the region.
