The Latvian national airline airBaltic is preparing for the summer season 2026, further strengthening its position as the leading carrier in the Baltics. While some competitors are scaling back their presence in the region, airBaltic continues to expand its network and strengthen essential connectivity from Riga and beyond.
Building on the success of previous seasons, airBaltic will further grow its operations from Riga, expanding in Scandinavia, increasing flights to Germany, and renewing services to Scotland. The company remains committed to ensuring that the Baltic region stays directly connected to key European and global destinations.

As announced earlier, for the upcoming summer season airBaltic will launch new routes from Riga to Kaunas (Lithuania), Oulu (Finland), and Antalya (Turkey), which until now has only been served as a charter flight. The airline also plans to relaunch flights from Riga to Aberdeen (United Kingdom), Belgrade (Serbia), and Yerevan (Armenia), further broadening its network.
Additionally, airBaltic will increase frequencies on 20 existing routes from Riga, including to destinations such as Istanbul (Turkey), Larnaca (Cyprus), Malaga (Spain), Malta (Malta), Milan (Italy), Nice (France), Palma de Mallorca (Spain), and Tbilisi (Georgia), offering travelers greater convenience, flexibility, and choice.
During the summer 2026 season, airBaltic will operate nearly 110 routes across all its bases, continuing its steady expansion and strengthening its role as the leading airline in the Baltic region.
Today, airBaltic operates a fleet of 50 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, connecting the Baltic region, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, with more than 80 destinations and 130 routes across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus.
