Countries from which returning to Latvia 10-day self-isolation is required (18.06.2021)

On June 18, 2021, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control updated the list of countries to which Latvian residents do not recommend traveling.

A traveler from abroad where the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population exceeds 70 cases per 100,000, must self-isolate for 10 days, unless the person has been vaccinated.

Self-isolation will be required by those returning or travelling in transit through these European countries. These countries are Spain, Andorra, France, Croatia, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Slovenia, Denmark, Cyprus, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Greece. The 10-day quarantine must also be observed when returning from other third countries, including Russia and Belarus.

Travelers returning to Latvia from countries where the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants exceeds 70 cases per 100,000 must self-isolate and have home quarantine for the next 10 days and keep up with their state of health, unless they are overweight. Covid-19 or vaccinated.

Self-isolation is not required for people from countries where the 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 populations does not exceed 70 cases per 100,000 populations.

Countries that do not require self-isolation when returning are - Estonia, Switzerland, Norway, Croatia, Slovakia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Monaco, Iceland, Vatican, Malta, Finland, San Marino, Romania, Thailand, South Korea, Rwanda, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and Israel.

On the other hand, everyone who comes to Latvia from a country where the risk assessment is higher than 50 cases per 100,000 people must stay at self-isolation.
