Estonia will decide on removing the need of wearing face masks

The number of people infected with Covid-19 in Estonia is declining rapidly and vaccination rates are increasing, so the Scientific Council has proposed to the Estonian Government to remove the need for wearing masks by June 7.

At the moment, there is a requirement that requires facial masks to be worn in public places and in public transport. On the possibility of waiving the fees, the government plans to decide on May 25.

Since 24 May, in Estonia, it has been allowed to visit museums, exhibition halls, theaters, cinemas and services, with a maximum capacity of 50%.

From Monday, the Estonian people are also allowed to visit the catering establishments, with a maximum capacity of 50% and there should be no more than six people at one table.
