Reopening theatres in Estonia: Brings both joy and extra work

The Estonian Government on Tuesday, May 11, decided that theatres in Estonia will be reopened on May 24.

Margus Allikmaa, The Estonian Association of Performing Arts Institutions (Eesti Etendusasutuste Liit), said to ETV current news show "Aktuaalne kaamera" that less people are coming to see shows lately.

Margus Allikmaa also mentions that they really hoped to open theatres sooner because now it is the end of the season and it is not possible to play all the projects.

Even if the theatre halls will not be full, which is because it is required that occupancy of the hall is 50 percent, actors are very excited to finally get back on stage and to communicate with the audience after such a long time.
