During the Summer Restaurant Weeks in Riga, hospitality industry will see a re-start

To support the capital's hospitality industry, the Summer Riga Restaurant Weeks will take place from June 29 to July 12. 32 restaurants have already applied to participate in the project, which will pamper the city's guests with the taste of Latvian summer.

"It's no secret that the hospitality industry has been one of the hardest hit in recent months, so at this time when restaurants have recently re-opened their doors and are looking forward to visitors, it's time for Restaurant Weeks. This time the gourmet festival will take place for two weeks in order to be able to serve all guests, as well as attract more tourists from neighboring countries. During the Restaurant Weeks, we ask people to be understanding if a reservation cannot be made at the desired time on the desired day - the restaurants are still recovering from the crisis," emphasizes Jānis Jenzis, Chairman of the Board of the Riga Tourism Development Bureau .

The Riga Tourism Development Bureau (RTAB) has launched a campaign called Riga is Not Riga Without You, with the aim of it to encourage people to visit already well-known places in Riga, as well as to discover new flavors of the capital. One of the main heroes of the campaign are Live Riga’s long-time partners – restaurants and cafes. The Riga is Not Riga Without You campaign and the Summer Riga Restaurant Weeks are part of tourism promotion measures developed by the RTAB as part of its plan of action to help the local tourism industry recover from the crisis.

From today, it is possible to get acquainted with the menus prepared by the restaurants in three languages (Latvian, English and Russian) on the Live Riga portal www.Liveriga.com/RRN. There are two special offer price categories in all the participating restaurants - 20 and 25 euros.

A three-course meal worth 20 euros will be available at AC Lounge, Annas dārzs, B-Bārs restorāns, Bon Vivant, Čarlstons, Čemodāns, Duvel’s Pub, Easy Wine, Elements, Ferma, Hercogs Ķīpsala, Key to Riga, Laivu centrs, Le Sommet, Moltto Grill&Wine, Mākslas muzeja restorāns, Neiburgs, Niklāvs, Osta, OZO restorāns, Panorāma and Tinto.

The Summer Riga Restaurant Week is organized by the Riga Tourism Development Bureau (RTAB). Its aim is to stimulate the development of local cuisine, following global trends, while at the same time not losing the region's typical products and historical cooking methods. The initiative is an opportunity for Rigans and city guests to acquaint themselves with new and top-quality restaurants, where it is possible to experience the taste of Riga, Latvia and the whole of the Baltics.
