Three new payment card terminals for single entry pass purchase are available for visitors of Jūrmala!

Together with the warmer weather conditions, the number of domestic and foreign tourists of Jūrmala arriving by car increases, therefore three new payment card terminals for single purchase of entry passes have been installed.

Payment card terminals can be identified by reference - the payment card terminals have payment card stickers. Payments can be done with bank issued "MasterCard", "Maestro", "Visa" and "Visa Electron" cards. Local government emphasizes that these terminals are intended only for card payments.

The first payment card terminal in Priedainewas installed in February 2012. As people enjoy the opportunity to pay without cash, two additional terminals are installed. Together there are 13 terminals, three of which are card payment terminals.

This summer three more payment card terminals will be installed, but in general the number of them will be increased to ten.

Municipal public relations specialists point out that with the POS terminal installation, the purchase of single entry passes to Jūrmala becomes more convenient as there is no need for cash, and card paymentscan be made without leaving the car. Pass purchase with the payment card is as safe as any purchase in a store;also, video surveillance is operating on the spot. Moving to a larger number of terminals, it will also reduce the maintenance costs.

“VeriFone” terminals are installed by "Point Transaction Systems» Ltd in accordance with the order of Jūrmala City Council.

The fee for the entry to the administrative territory of Jūrmala is one lat. The cars in Jūrmala, where the road signs allow parking, can be parkedfor free, except for private parking places.
