Burger King opens its seventh restaurant in Riga

The global fast food chain Burger King opens its brand new restaurant in Riga city centre. The newest restaurant, located at Merkela Street 12, opens its doors to the public.

The newest, 295m2 restaurant seats 70 guests. The restaurant will be offering the full popular Burger King menu with flame-grilled burgers, plant-based options, kid’s menu and so much more.

Commenting on the opening of the new restaurant in Riga’s Merkela Street, Laura Maarand, Burger King Commercial Manager in the Baltics, said:
„We are really pleased to bring another opportunity to enjoy our delicious burgers to the residents and visitors of Riga, nowon Merkela street which is an excellent location due to closeness to many key locations in the capital, such as the central railway station, central bus station and many hotels, Tallink Hotel Riga, among other, in the bustling Riga city centre.
“This is our seventh Burger King restaurant opened in Latvia and the 20th restaurant in the Baltics. We now hope that Burger King Merkela will receive the same warm welcome as our other restaurants – come and see for yourself, everyone is very welcome!“

Tallink Grupp acquired the Burger Kingi Baltics franchise in 2019 and the first restaurants were opened in the Baltics in spring 2020. To date, there are a total of 20 Burger King restaurants in the region, across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
