Air Lituanica offers even more flights to major European airports

Beginning on the last Sunday in March, the aviation summer season will offer even more flights from the Lithuanian capital. The number of Air Lituanica flights from Vilnius Airport will increase up to 59 regular departures per week.

Air Lituanica will increase the number of flights to Amsterdam Airport from 5 to 7 weekly flights, while the flights to Munich will gradually increase from 4 to 7 per week. Munich and Amsterdam airports are the only two European airports directly accessible from Vilnius that are included into Top 10 World’s best airports, ranked the third and ninth places respectively.

As of 30 April Air Lituanica launches direct flights to Hamburg – three times per week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Direct routes from Vilnius to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, and to Billund Airport, located in the centre of Western Denmark, return to the regular flight schedule for the summer season.

“We continue fulfilling our promise to ensure a comfortable and frequent access to the major European cities and we are excited to announce we will operate as many as 6 routes at least 6 times per week”, says Simonas Bartkus, Commercial Director at Air Lituanica. “This summer we will also actively work towards increasing the number of tourists arriving in Lithuania – we are bringing seasonal flights to Prague and Billund back and strongly expanding the supply of flights to Germany.”

Air Lituanica is planning to carry 150 thousand passengers during the summer flight season, i.e. by 50% more compared to 2014.

Air Lituanica operates direct flights to major European airports – Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, Broma Airport located in the centre of Stockholm, Europe’s fourth largest Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as well as Munich, Berlin, Prague, Billund, Tallinn and Brussels airports. As of 30 April Air Lituanica will also fly to Hamburg.
