RIX Riga Airport reported revenue of 38.2 million euros in the first half of 2025, an increase of 6.5 % as compared to the same period last year, according to the unaudited interim financial report for January–June 2025.
Aviation service revenue reached 22.2 million euros, up 7.4 % year-on-year, while non-aviation service revenue grew by 5.4 % to 16 million euros.
Operating costs in the first half of 2025 remained at 36 million euros, in line with the results of the first six months of 2024. As a result, the Airport closed the first half of 2025 with a profit of 3.2 million euros (compared to 2.1 million euros in the first half of 2024).

Passenger traffic from January to June exceeded 3.31 million, 5 % higher than a year earlier. The number of handled flights also increased by 3 % to a total of 30,000. Air cargo volumes rose by 9 % year-on-year, reaching 9,200 tonnes in the first half of 2025.
Although there was still growth in service volumes in the first half of the year, the pace of increase in both passenger numbers and flights was affected – and will continue to be affected – by the route optimization and reduction in flight frequencies by airlines, including the national carrier airBaltic, which was announced earlier this year for the current summer season. It is also influenced by overall trends in Europe, where the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe) has revised its passenger growth forecast for 2025 down from 8% to 3.6%. In addition, the Airport’s performance continues to be influenced by the war in Ukraine, military conflicts in the Middle East, and the related sanctions and airspace restrictions.
