«airBaltic» Announces the Successful Sell-Out of All Planies NFTs

In response to growing demand in recent weeks, the Latvian airline airBaltic is pleased to announce that all Planies NFTs have been minted. As the world’s first NFT-based airline loyalty program, Planies offers owners the opportunity to earn airBaltic Club points and enjoy a variety of exclusive benefits designed to enhance their travel experience.

Māris Rudens, Head of Loyalty and Partnerships at airBaltic: “We are excited to announce that all Planies NFTs have been successfully minted, marking a significant milestone for airBaltic and underscoring our commitment to innovation in our airline loyalty program. We have observed that Planies owners are satisfied with the travel benefits the program provides, which shows continued interest from others to join. With this announcement, the program does not end. Instead, we are committed to its ongoing development. Stay tuned for upcoming news!”

Planies are digital collectible NFTs, each of them consisting of a unique cartoon artwork of an aircraft with different traits, such as mouth, eyes, wings, engines and other. A total of 10 000 unique Planies have been issued on a dedicated website www.planiesnft.com. After the initial sales (minting), it is possible to collect or trade them on the OpenSea marketplace.

By having a Planies NFT, their owners unlock a variety of exclusive benefits. These include earning 20 loyalty points every day, the possibility to receive Business Class upgrade vouchers, and even attaining airBaltic Club VIP status by owning 25+ Planies. Additional benefits include the opportunity to take part in a special tour of airBaltic, fostering a closer connection with both the airline and fellow NFT holders.
