Kite-boarding on Latvia’s beaches

Latvia is rich with many excellent beaches, where many activities can be done.

The coastal town of Pavilosta (western Latvia) is known for its excellent kite-boarding conditions, where enthusiasts can find great winds. There are several good areas to kite-board in Pavilosta, in both the northern and southern areas of the town. The town also features many beautiful old wooden houses, and also has several good places to eat.

Liepaja, the western Latvian city where the wind was born, is also an excellent place to kite-board. The city features long sandy beaches, and even has a special area designated for kite-boarders. There is usually good wind, and there are many good hotels, restaurants and pubs in the city.

Other good kite-boarding beaches include Jurkalne, Berzciems, Pumpuri, Saulkrasti and Ainazi.
