Latvia–Lithuania Tourism Campaign “Discover Neighbours in Zemgale” Launches May 2025

From 1 May to 31 August 2025, the cross-border tourism campaign “Discover Neighbours in Zemgale” invites travellers to explore charming destinations in Bauska Municipality (Latvia) and neighbouring Lithuanian regions: Joniškis, Biržai, Pakruojis, and Pasvalys. The campaign aims to promote tourism development in the Latvia–Lithuania border area by introducing a joint tourist route and showcasing local attractions and businesses.

Curious adventurers from both countries are welcome to take part together with family and friends! Campaign brochures will be available at Tourist Information Centres in Bauska, Vecumnieki, Rundāle, Biržai, Pakruojis, Pasvalys, and Joniškis.
As in previous years, participants are encouraged to visit 18 free attractions featured in the brochure and take a photo at each location. This year’s edition includes a fun new challenge: instead of completing specific tasks, participants must find hidden stickers with letters near each site. When combined, the letters will reveal the 2025 campaign slogan.

During your trip, don’t forget to pause at the special campaign sign near the Bauska–Adžūni–Pakruojis border for a great photo opportunity!

Once you’ve collected all the letters and filled in the brochure, submit it—along with your photos (on a phone or camera)—at any of the participating Tourist Information Centres by 4 September.

Each participant that will submit complete brouchure, will receive a small souvenir as a thank-you gift from the local municipality.

By submitting your completed brochure, you’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win one of five bicycles! The draw will take place on 12 September at 11:00, and the winners will be announced on 14 September. The campaign will conclude with a festive closing event and prize ceremony on 27 September 2025 in Pasvalys, Lithuania.
