A new section of walking trail and an environmental object have been created in Saulkrasti

The only place near Riga where you can watch the sunsets is Saulkrasti!

A new section of the walking trail has been built along the sea from Bērzu ielas to Selgas iela, and an environmental object called "Sunset Watcher" has been created.

"The Sunset Walk is a popular walking route not only for tourists but also for locals. We are pleased that we are able to restore a section of the trail each year by raising funds and investing our own resources. The new footbridge will allow people to walk safely on the dunes without putting additional strain on them, and when they stop at the environmental object, they will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. Given that Saulkrasti is frequently chosen as a wedding venue, the new environmental attraction could be a great place to celebrate this important occasion. "We are looking forward to seeing the first wedding photos," said Normunds Līcis, Chairman of the Association "Jūras zeme" Council and Chairman of the Saulkrasti Municipality Council at the opening ceremony.
