6th International Historical Re-enactment and Rock Music Festival «Dinaburg 1812» is postponed to July 2021

It is decided to cancel the 6th International Historical Re-enactment and Rock Music Festival "Dinaburg 1812" in 2020.

This decision was made in connection with the decision to cancel or postpone events in the summer of 2020, which was approved at an emergency meeting of the Committee on Education and Culture of the Daugavpils City Council on April 23, and taking into account the state of emergency in the country.

The festival was scheduled to be held in Daugavpils Fortress on 17th - 18th July 2020. Every year, more than 150 reenactors from six countries took part in the festival, and the number of visitors from Latvia and abroad exceeded 15 000. However, due to the emergency in Latvia and other countries, it is not possible to organise the event properly, attract foreign historical reconstruction clubs to participate in the festival, and carry out many other planned activities during the festival.

According to the situation in Latvia due to the spread of Covid-19, and following a series of restrictions that apply to the organisers, participants and visitors of the event, as well as taking into account possible risks about further development of the situation, it is decided that festival is cancelled in 2020.

It is planned to hold the 6th International Historical Re-enactment and Rock Music Festival "Dinaburg 1812"on July 16th - 17th, 2021.

See you in Daugavpils Fortress soon!
