Katie Melua to perform concert in Riga

This fall, British singer and songwriter Katie Melua will perform a concert in Riga as part of her "Secret Symphony" tour.

Melua will perform at "Arena Riga" on November 24.

The 28-year-old Georgia-born singer is one of the most successful British female musicians of the past ten years. She has many hits, including "Nine Million Bicycles", "The Closest Thing to Crazy", "I Cried for You", "Piece By Piece", "If You Were a Sailboat" and several others.

Melua's fifth studio album - "Secret Symphony" - was released in March. The album was recorded in collaboration with orchestrator and conductor Mike Batt. It emphasizes lightness, simplicity and Melua's unique and easily recognizable voice.

During her concert in Riga, Melua will perform songs from "Secret Symphony" and her most popular hits. Melua last performed in Latvia in the fall of 2008.

Tickets to the concert have already gone on sale and are available at all ''Bilesu Serviss'' ticket outlets.
