Largest convention centre in the Baltics to open in Riga

In the first quarter of 2020, the largest convention centre in the Baltics, ATTA CENTRE, with a total area of 15,000 square meters, will be opening its doors in Riga. The centre will be located at 60 Krasta Street.

ATTA CENTRE is an innovative, multifunctional business complex that combines all the necessary services for modern businesspeople – 29 conference rooms, an office centre and co-working space, a restaurant, and a large parking lot with charging stations for electric vehicles. The centre can accommodate up to 5,500 people at once.

Due to the wide technical capabilities of the centre, a variety of events can be held here: exhibitions, conferences, and banquets, as well as cultural, arts, and sports events of any format. The high-tech multimodal system allows the layout of the entire first floor to be changed depending on the format of the event, without the loss of sound insulation quality.

“Business tourism is a promising direction, and by cultivating it we can attract multimillion-euro investments in Latvia. A convention centre of such a scale as ATTA will make Riga a more attractive destination for foreign organizers who hold events of international scale. Also, by 2025 we plan to open 5 more such convention centres in the largest European capitals,” says Janis Astahovs, General Manager of ATTA CENTRE.

According to the creators of the project, the concept of the business centre was based on the idea of an anthill, as a symbol of creative and cooperative work. A unique 5-meter terrarium containing ants from the genus Atta, created in collaboration with the Riga National Zoological garden, will be installed in the lobby of the ATTA CENTRE.

The opening of the new convention centre is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
