Riga International Airport ranked as TOP Employer

Riga International Airport has been ranked as TOP Employer in the survey conducted by the human resources recruitment company  CV-Online Latvia, receiving the second highest rating in the transport and logistics industry and the recognition as one of the most desireable and popular employers in Latvia.

Aldis Mūrnieks, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport, said: "We are honoured for receiving such high assessment from Latvia’s employees who acknowledge Riga Airport’s stability and good reputation, and consequently – the significance and popularity of the aviation industry."


At the end of 2013, Riga International Airport employed 1147 staff, of which 59% worked in passenger service, 32% in infrastructure service and 9% in administration. 

Riga International Airport is the air traffic hub of the Baltics. In the winter season it offers flights to 70 destinations, operated by 19 airlines: airBaltic, Ryanair, Wizz Air, LOT, Lufthansa, Transaero, Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, UTair, Norwegian, Aeroflot, Belavia, Finnair, AMC Airlines, Polet Airlines, Iberia Express, Bulgarian Air Charter, Astra Airlines, SmartLynx.
