airBaltic to Participate in Shadow Day 2024

The Latvian national airline and the largest employer in Latvia's transportation sector, airBaltic, has announced its participation in Shadow Day 2024. his initiative offers pupils the opportunity to explore various roles within the company, including positions such as pilots, flight attendants, aircraft technicians, and other industry professionals. 

Alīna Aronberga, SVP Human Resources at airBaltic: “We are delighted to announce that airBaltic will participate in Shadow Day 2024 for the 17th time, offering schoolchildren around 30 positions in various departments. It is important for us to offer opportunities to young people in Latvia to explore and learn about the diverse and perspective aviation industry. We hope this initiative will inspire and encourage more students to come under our wing.”

The application process for available positions will open on March 1 on the Shadow Day 2024 website (Ēnu diena 2024 (enudiena.lv)) and will be divided into four parts:

· March 1 – March 4 – first application part;

· March 8 – March 11 – second application part;

· March 15 – March 18 – third application part;

· March 25 – the last application part for remaining positions.

Last year, airBaltic welcomed 140 students – a record-high number. They had the opportunity to explore and understand more than 20 professions in different airline departments.
