“The passengers’ volume has been in upward trend since June, and we
believe the growth during the second half of the year will compensate
the fall of the first half. The increase in passengers’ volume has been
influenced by bigger number of destinations and good performance of
charter flights. In September we started to fly from Tallinn to
Stockholm Bromma in addition to Arlanda Airport. This is a good
alternative for business passengers giving them faster and more
convenient service when flying to Stockholm,” says Indrek Randveer, the
CCO of Estonian Air. “At the same time we have to take measures to
respond to the impact of unstable situation in Ukraine and intensified
competition which have negative effect on our results,” added Randveer.
The 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights in the first nine
months was 92.7%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points compared to the
same period last year. The regularity was 99.3%, a decrease of 0.3
percentage points compared to the same period last year. In September
the punctuality was 92.1 and regularity 99.6 percentage.
Estonian Air is aiming to provide Estonia with reliable and regular
double daily connections to destinations of strategic importance and of
substantial demand. Being a small country on the edge of Europe, Estonia
depends on such connections, and Estonian Air is committed to provide
these services.
