«airBaltic» and «Lufthansa Group» Extend Wet Lease Partnership

The Latvian national airline airBaltic and Lufthansa Group are extending collaboration within the framework of a wet lease partnership for a further three years starting the summer of 2025. Under the agreement, airBaltic is set to operate scheduled flights on behalf of Lufthansa Group.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “Throughout the recent years, airBaltic has earned a reputation as one of the leading premium wet lease providers in Europe. The wet lease business has become a crucial element of the airBaltic growth strategy, complementing our scheduled operations from our existing bases. The efficient single-type fleet of modern Airbus A220-300s and our high-quality onboard service have been key to this success.”

“This partnership is an endorsement of our wet lease capabilities and reliability from a well-respected international brand like Lufthansa Group. We are looking forward to a successful collaboration over the coming years,” Gauss added.

The agreement outlines a three-year collaboration, with up to 21 deployed airBaltic A220-300 aircraft and the airline conducting flights on behalf of Lufthansa Group.

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets are available on the company's homepage at www.airbaltic.com.
