Daugavpils Innovation Centre opens

The Daugavpils Innovation Centre will reopen on December 10 at 12:00 p.m., after a significant renovation. On the first day, visitors will be treated to educational and creative workshops throughout the day, as well as science shows at 13:00 and 15:00.

Daugavpils Innovation Centre is a competency-based educational institution that fosters STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and STEAM (including art) knowledge development and skill acquisition, as well as career opportunities in these fields. The Centre will provide an engaging learning experience not only through interactive exhibitions, but also through activities and events that make physics, chemistry, biology, and other sciences easier to see and understand.

To allow as many visitors as possible to try out the Daugavpils Innovation Centre exhibits, the time spent in the exhibit hall will be limited to two hours per visit on the opening day. The educational and creative workshops and science shows will be free, but the Innovation Centre exhibitions will require the purchase of an entry ticket at the Centre's ticket office.

The activities are implemented within the framework of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the period 2014 - 2021 under the Programme "Research and Education", Activity "Innovation Centres", Project "Establishment of Innovation Centre in Daugavpils" Nr. NFI/IC/VIAA/2020/4, Contract Nr.Nr.9.-20.2.2.1/4.
