Mika, who is Finnish, has a solid background in the hospitality industry. After obtaining a Bachelor Degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from University of Surrey in Guildford, UK, he gained his first experience in the hospitality industry working in different management positions for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in UK and Sweden.

Mika joined Rezidor in June 2007 as Front Office Manager at the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel in Helsinki, Finland and was promoted to General Manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel in Espoo, Finland a year later.

Mika has been working as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Vaasa, Finland since March 2009, which is his most recent position.
