The Opening Ceremony of the Renovated Konventa Sēta Hotel

Following six years of reconstruction, the Konventa Sēta Hotel in Old Riga will officially open on May 16.

The hotel renovation was completed at the end of 2023. The entire historic hotel complex has been renovated, comprising now nine buildings, 161 high-end design rooms, and four conference rooms suitable for both conferences and private celebrations.

The new hotel interior includes a redesigned layout, an interior overhaul, the renovation of all building facades, and the construction of access ramps for people with disabilities.

The reconstruction involved rebuilding internal engineering networks, replacing external communications, and introducing a new interior design. Two More Beers restaurant has opened in one of the hotel's buildings, as has Cruffins design café. Apart from the building refurbishment, the hotel complex's landscaping has received special attention to maintain the site's historic feel and its picturesque streets.

Konventa Sēta Hotel is the first hotel in the Keystone Collection hotel chain by AmberStone Hotels, SIA. Keystone Management Ltd is the hotel's management company. A new 4-star Carillon Aparthotel is currently under construction, while a 4-star hotel in Old Town is in the planning stage and will also be part of the Keystone Collection chain.

The investment in the hotel's renovation was made by Konventa Sēta Hotel, SIA, a subsidiary of AmberStone Group, AS, investing almost EUR 15 million. Thus, the conditions set out in the lease agreement concluded in 2017 with Rīgas nami, SIA, for the reconstruction of the buildings in the Konventa Sēta complex, have been fully fulfilled. The contract with Rīgas nami, SIA, is in force for 30 years.

The general contractor for the reconstruction work was Pillar Contractor, SIA. The project's architects were Palast Architekten, AS, and Pillar Architekten, SIA. Interior design was done by Vilnis Mičulis.

Hospitality services are one of AmberStone Group’s key business areas. To manage it efficiently, AmberStone Hotels, SIA, was established in 2016. Its group companies own or use real estate properties that currently house the following operating hotels: Konventa Sēta Hotel, Rija VEF Hotel, and Rija Old Town in Tallinn.
