Lithuania is extending the restrictions until the end of February

On January 27, 2021, the Lithuanian government decided to extend the country's strict restrictions until February 28, including a ban on moving outside its municipality without significant need. The Ministry of Health has indicated that the prevalence of Covid-19 has decreased, but this is not enough to ease the restrictions.

It is possible that if the morbidity decreases, the regulations could be relaxed in mid-February.

At the same time, it is reported that about 7% of the Lithuanian population is immune to Covid-19: 2 percent have been vaccinated, while 5 percent have recovered from the disease.

Quarantine has been introduced in Lithuania since November 7, 2020.
