Latvian airline airBaltic launches the route between Riga and Gothenburg, Sweden, on 14 April 2014. The new route offers convenient connections between the two cities and beyond to destinations in the Baltic region, Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS countries.

The service operates four days a week - from Riga to Gothenburg on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, but from Gothenburg to Riga on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. airBaltic passengers board a Bombardier Q400Next Gen aircraft for a 1 hour 40 minutes flight.
